48 Volunteers & 366 LBS of Trash

Woaw, what a day!
I am proud to say that today was a record in pounds of trash picked up: 366lbs! It is sad to see that there is still this much trash on our Pillar Point beach even after 2 years of hard work. But, this is also the number of pounds that won’t kill the wildlife or pollute our precious Pacific ocean.

Thank you so much for making today a very productive day. It was a real pleasure seeing you all, especially those doing the commute from Napa or Santa Cruz. I hope you all had a great time.

Litter:
127 Cigarette butts
60 Straws
256 Bottle caps
PS: To Russ and Autumn – the bird found was a Western Gull from San Francisco, born in early 2014 (estimated) and tagged in July 2015.
