Past Event: Bee-Friendly Habitat Gardening

Jaime will describe the most common bees found in urban areas and how homeowners can attract there valuable pollinators to their own gardens.

Jaime Pawelek works as a researcher in the Urban Bee Lab at UC Berkeley and is the owner of Wild Bee Garden Design. She’s been studying native bees for over 7 years in urban, agricultural, and wild landscapes in California, Florida and Costa Rica. She has a B.S. in Conservation and Resource Studies from UCB and lives in El Cerrito with her husband PJ, dog Bandit, and three chickens.
